Jalapeno Mexican Grill | Mexican Restaurant Tampa, FL

On the restaurant's Facebook page, owner Miguel Espinosa is seen smiling as he holds up a couple of fresh amberjack. Everything at Jalapeno Mexican Grill is fresh, come to think of it. The corn tortillas are handmade and the three different types of salsa homemade. There are the standard entries you'd find at any Mexican restaurant -- including quesadillas and tacos -- but Espinosa also has some things you might not find everywhere else, like plantains foster, or succulent shrimp in a creamy chipotle sauce over pasta. And the desserts, including flan and rice pudding, are concocted based on Espinosa family recipes. Vegetarian meals are available on request.
